Benchmarks and reference ETFs
S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and Dow Jones are calculated indices. SPY, QQQ and DIA are explicitly identified reference ETFs, each with its own price, fees and traded volume. SMA 200 needs 200 valid session closes; monthly VWAP weights price by volume and resets with the first session of the month. An authorised bar feed for calculated overlays is not connected.
